Hello everyone, Has anyone had any luck backing up Troy?? I've tried to do this useing several programs. Decrypter, shrink, Fab. Even tryed using 43 in the backround. Thought it may have been a bad press on the disk, Exchanged, only to get the same problem. Help please.

I made a backup of Troy yesterday. Used AnyDVD running in the background, inserted the DVD, opened dvddecrypter, ripped it, and used shrink to shrink and then decrypter to burn. No problems at all. Plays great.

Get AnyDVD from http://www.slysoft.com Worth the money!

There is nothing special about this movie I did it awhile back using Decrypter and Shrink. I had this problem with Collateral I had to return the original 3 times to the WallyMart before I got a decent one must have been a bad press.

In my opinion it is. If you read the threads about it you will see that it is highly regarded.

I bought the package of CloneDVD and AnyDVD and am well pleased.

Hope this helps.

AnyDVD and CloneDVD are very good programs, and the price for the combo is very reasonable for what you get. Both programs are supported and AnyDVD is very fast in get out updates for newer supported movies. AnyDVD will also break encryption on protected CD's which is also a plus. If you are running a laptop CloneDVD is a better program in that it is not as CPU intensive and there is less chance of overheating. Plus the reauthoring capabilities of Clone are very good.

Assuming that the version of Troy being discussed is the U.S. version, there is nothing special about the copy protection. I used Decrypter and Shrink on it when it first came out with no problems what so ever.

What, exactly is going wrong during the copy process, Lil?

Yes, it's more than likely the best on the market in terms of being updated quickly (for free) and customer service. It does exactly what it says it will do, with no fuss and very little effort on the part of the user. It's as close to being "Idiot Proof" as you can get.

@lil 1

I used AnyDVD & CloneDVD2 about a month ago to burn Troy. No problems. IMHO, these are 2 of the easiest/best proggys to use. I don't nearly as much as some of these guysgals, but I'm learning.
