I'm trying to make a copy of our Shrek 2 dvd and I get that Overlapped I/O error. I've tried DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and a couple options I've found in the forums but nothing works, can you give me all the little tricks to copy it please?

Under the settings in DVD Shrink make sure you checked off the enable overlapped I/O - this may increase ripping performance. In other words, make sure there "isn't" a check there. Try running this only through DVD Shrink. I did this movie when it first came out only using Shrink and I had no difficulties.

Be sure to post your results and good luck!

It won't let me check that, that option just kinda blends in with the back and I can't check it. Can I change that?

Try uninstalling DVD Shrink, reboot and then reinstall.

Uninstalling, rebooting and installing again didn't do anything. Still can't check that box.

Is there another free program that I can use that will take care of that Overlap?

Try cleaning your disk or take it back and get another. This error happens because of faulty disks, and as you stated this is happening in several programs.

As Mr. Bear stated, you probably have a bad disc. If the enable overlapping I/O is grayed out, that's what you want, you don't want a check there. Next solution, exchange your disc for a new one.

Here is what the author/creator of DVD Shrink says about this preference: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?postid=182063#post...

What version of DVD Shrink do you have?

Thanks for the link, it sounds like the I/O setting doesn't really matter. I have the newest version 3.2.0.15 that I've been using successfully for awhile but maybe I have a bad disc, it's happened once before.
