Hey all you tech heads,

Do you know of a way to transfer 8mm film to video tape/DVD without using a 3rd party company to do so. A member on another forum I frequent has so much film to translate over that cost estimates are around 10 grand and she's looking for a cheaper, viable solution. She's a pretty smart cookie so even some fairly technical solutions I don't think are beyond her. Atleast if you can give me a starting point on where to look it'd be a big help. TIA folks.
