I have tried the trial version of DVD Region + CSS Free software which impressed me very much by its powerful and extramely easy going features but unfortunately it didn't work out on my pc, which is using the Matshita DVD drive. Will appreciate any suggestion which other region-free software that supports this DVD drive.

Try AnyDVD by SlySoft, here's the link;

http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

This TOP software, everyone who gets it, loves it! It works really well with SlySofts' Clonedvd2. You can get them on a 21 day trial.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. Probably the best investment I ever made.

I second pulsar.

They are fantastic programs. The second guide in my signature is a detailed guide for their usage.

Thanks for your suggestions guys!
I had downloaded the AnyDVD and ran it as a trial but have another problem now.
The menu text dialogue was showing funny text which couldn't be read at all.
I am using Traditional Chinese Widnow XP home-edition O/S on my pc, and would there be a conflict of AnyDVD on a Chinese Window XP O/S?

Not too sure about that. Why not E-mail Slysofts' customer support & ask them? I would if I were you. They are very helpful chaps. Mind you, if I lived in Antigua, I would be happy in my work too!!!!!! LOL

Yes indeed Pulsar. I had fired an e-mail to Slysoft's customer support, and will see how they response.
By the way, thanks to u 9mmruger1, your links are very comprehensive particularly the 2nd one. But what it said on the note at the beginning clearly indicating the AnyDVD doesn't support the Mitshita xx-8xxx drive neither, which exactly my pc is equipped with. Shit happened again!!!!!

If you're using DVD Region+CSS Free and DVDIdle Pro, right after when it starts to activate/run, click on settings, and you should be able to "check" to support on any of your dvd burners or dvd-rom drive so it can make it region free. I've used DVD Region+CSS Free in the past and now DVDIdle Pro.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Thanks for your info alkohol, but it still couldn't help me out by DVDIdle Pro.
When you browse through DVDIdle web-page, at the bottom of the page quoted:
"NOTE: DVD-RAM, Matshita XX-8xxx, SW-9xxx series DVD drives, and Torisan DRD-Uxxx series DVD drives are not supported now, and there is no plan to support them. But you can watch and copy CSS encrypted DVD movies when the drive region and disc region is matched on these DVD drives. "
The Matshita DVD drive in my pc is now locked in Region 3, and I believe even the DVDIdle Pro still couldn't decode other region's DVDs for view and CSS encryption, which is now I'm suffering!!!
HOW DOES IT HAPPEN ON EARTH THAT NO SOFTWARE SUPPORT THE MATSHITA DVD DRIVE????
