HELP *** I tried to back-up L.O.T.R - the third age with dvd decypter i copied onto hard drive then wrote at 2.4 speed, i then inserted game and loaded up no problems until i tried to move character = nothing happened no buttons worked either HELP HELP HELP. Also i,ve seen people on about iso buster and rebuilding games ???? whats that? my ps2 has a mod chip if thi helps and is ver 12 ps... The game loads but frezzes then restarts again ??? i also heard about manufacturers putting gaps in games ???

What media are you using? The PAL version is around 4.28GB's, so it shouldn't need rebuilt. Use good DVD-R's like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, TDK, Sony, Maxell, or Phillips.

im using mr dvd - and the discs are 4.7gb DVD-R does the make of the disc make a big diffrence ?. Sorry about this im an absolute beginner the games atarts and moves a little then freezes then starts again? any ideas ? and thanx for your help

It's okay. Yes media does make a big difference. Ditch the Mr. DVD. Try any of the brands I mentioned. Try burning slightly faster or slower. This should resolve the problem.

ok thanx i,ll try diffrent media dvd,s also what do people meen when they say rebuild a game ? also what is iso buster for ? i,ve seen it in lots of posts thanks

Isobuster is a piece of software that allows you to extract or "open" an iso file. It is used in rebuilding. Rebuilding allows some games to run better with Swap Magic. Don't worry about it for now. If it needs rebuilt worry about that later.

I dont think so without taking the PS2 apart. Did you buy your PS2 premodded? Do you have to do anything to play backups or do you just put them in and it plays. Yes I think the cheap media is the problem.
