MCC is one of the best manufacturers! You both have some quality media to burn with. Verbatim's are about the only brand that you don't need to look for made in Japan.
as binkie stated, VERBATIM, as least here in CA locally for me, are like 90% all MADE IN TAIWAN...i have ONLY used the MADE IN TAIWAN verbatims in either format, in the 8x and 16x rated speeds...MCC is a good quality manufacturer, the ones you got are very good too, coded out properly, they are the 16x DVD-R discs, but i would suggest you keep the burns down to 8x MAXIMUM, even 4x if you feel the need to~ :) even the 16x DVD+R Verbs that i use, with the MCC004 coding, i keep ALL my burns @8x...to reduce chance of errors~ :)
Taiyo Yuden 4x dvd-r TYGO1/ 8x dvd-r TYGO2/ 8x dvd+r YUDEN000T02/ 16x dvd+r YUDEN000T03
Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

Quote:I thought most verbs were not made in taiwan. It did not say on the label. It said made in japan.
DVD-R:MCC 03RG20
Is that a bad media code?
Thanks for the help
You don't need to worry about it, unless you're not lucky and pick the wrong one (old stocks) with manufacture code is "CMC MAG," then that's another story. However, I doubt it though because that's all in the past.
