Ok, after much reading and faq:
My specs: ps2v7, no-mod, no-swapmagic, no-hdloader, no-hdadvance.
I do have backup images of all these(downloaded) and, however they will not work unless I use the original pressed discs. On one of the other threads, someone posted C/P "make a memory card exploit with the HD Loader elf on it and boot it with a trigger disc from your memory card",
I'm assuming that I can, by using the memory card exploit and no-modchip or swap-magic disc, that I can load the files to the memory card from the created cd-r afer using the triger-psx original game cd.
Or I guess that I will at least need to purchase the swap-magic set with the flip-top.
What if I use my own homemade slidetool with a backup cd-r copy of swapmagic or hdadvance? Will this work?

The main problem with not having swap magic or a modchip is that you will have to find something that makes the Ps2 laser thingy stop spinning so that you can do the swap, if its still spinning you might do damage to your Ps2, once you have the exploit with the hdloader on it you will be able to use a psx disk to boot the exploit. If your going to buy anything i would suggest you get swap magic and then you can make your own slidecard and then install the exploit easily using swap magic or if you have the option you can FTP it right to your memory card but you will need a network adaptor to do that.

Ok, thanks. I was about to reply that I had done some more reading and what you said seems to be the best way to go. The only thing I did not know or read about was the FTPing part, I did forget to mention that I already had a network/modem adapter connected to a 60GB new Maxtor HDD unformated inside the PS2(do I need to format it with maxblast-utility before using, I read that hdloader/hdadvance gives me the option to format).
Would you please point me to the best guide(in your opinion) where it explains how to do the FTP method(I downloaded a video tutorial on creating an exploit with II, I think this eplains it, but I did not finish it). I have instructions on making my own slide card(very easy) I appreciate your response.....

You can use hdadvance/hdloader to format the hdd but if you connect it to you PC as a slave drive you can use a application called WinHIP that allows you to format the hdd as well as install games that you have on your PC (in ISO format). I have never used FTP for my Ps2 b4 so i cant say i have a great understanding of what it involves but i did see a guide on exploitstation but it said something about needing the retail version of hdloader/hdadvance, apparently if you have a Crossover Cable you can hook the Ps2 up to a LAN port and use ExecsFTP.

Thanks, I was just reading from that site the section "Advanced PS2 Networking Tutorial(http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/ps2_net_tut/ps2_net_tut.htm)".
As far as the HDLoader/HDAdvance, it seems that it is used only to browse to the HDD and run the FTP-app to tranfer the exploit(s).
I don't see why the triger disc(psx-game) is not enough to give me access(browse) the HDD. I will try a couple of methods, if it does not work, I will order the swap magic-combo cds. I'm asuming that the HDD must me slaved to a pc and not connected as an external usb-mass-storage drive to temporarily to this?
By the way are any of the following stores reputable as far as you know?:
modchipstore.com

The Psx disc is only used to trigger the coed in the exploit that launches like Keylauncher after that you can start the hdloader and browse the Ps2 hdd, yeah slave when putting it in the PC. Not really sure about those shop as am from Scotland so i have never used them site but do a quick search see what comes up.
