Hi everyone,

I have a problem when I try to convert a svcd movie to vcd using tmpgenc. When tmpgenc starts to convert from svcd to vcd, the whole program closes after a few seconds.

I used the same method to convert another svcd movie to vcd so I know it should work.

I don't know know what to do.

I have installed all the required templates needed to convert svcd to vcd.

So plz if anyone can help me, it'd be great.

Thanks
shaneet

Hi,

I just found out that my SVCD movie is in NTSC format but that still shouldn't cause any problems in converting from SVCD (ntsc) to VCD (pal)in TMPGEnc.

So plz can anyone help me?

thanks

Do you have (purchasing it, of course) the Plus version? The free version is NOT Plus and only suports MPEG-1 files.
Only it suports SVCD MPEG-2 files...there's no other reason for TMPGenc to shut down.

Im using the free version.

I have though installed this m2v VFAPI plugin for TMPGEnc which allows TMPGEnc (free version ) to read mpeg2 files.

This will only allow me to convert SVCD movies to VCD which is what I want.

I used the same method to convert another SVCD movie to VCD but for some reason its not working for this movie.

I'll try extracting the SVCD movie's audio and try loading that as the audio source in TMPGEnc. Maybe that will help. ( Previously I used the actual movie as the audio source as well ).
