I have CD Writer Problems...I heard this was the place to come!

Hey all....in need of some assistance!

I have a MITSUMI CR-48XETE cd-writer, and have WinXP (w/ SP2 installed), with the inclusion also of the HIGH MAT update download from Windows Automatic Update site and also the latest drivers for this particular CD writer.

I recently downloaded a game image (via torrent) and wish to burn it on to disk. But i can't!

I have tried.....

Alcohol 120%: Alcohol 120% stops about 70% of the way through the image burning process, and i have tried numerous settings for it to work but it just wont do it!

Windows XP CD Writing program: I monuted the image on the virtual drive and saw the contents of the cd (including the all important exe file), took a straight drap and drop approach with them onto my CD Writer folder (drive f:\) , and tried to copy them onto CD that way also.

I'm having no luck what so ever, and at first i thought it was my CD driver...so i install the latest driver i could find for the CD writer....still no joy!

Could someone please help me through this as i am so anxious to play my newly acquired game!

I have tried many images, and even tried to do one-2-one copeis of cd's..but still no luck.

it will erase a cd for me though, but it wont write to any cd.

any other suggestions?
