ok guys help me with this one..
This cartoon aired during the 80's about some kid and a crew of people who I know had this big golden jet..and the setting always seemed like they were near the desert or something like that.. my memories of the show are very sketchy..

I remember a few cartoons that held jets, I don't really recall any with the jet bing gold in color, but then again, back then our tv was black and white...I know...I was a kid! LOL..can you describe any of the characters in it? Maybe what their mission was etc..I remember

Godzilla..they had a jet on their ship sometimes, there was a child and the crew..

Johnny Quest...they always had jets, some different colored..I recall a black one and a white one...their settings kinda seemed like it was near a desert...maybe it was just how it was painted ...

Space Ghost had a jet...well, the twins did anyway...

There was also a cartoon that had a yellow jet that turned into some kind of flaming phoenix...I don't know the name of it.

Let me know if u figure out the cartoon...i'm curious too...I LOVE cartoons...:-)

their was a nickolodeon show though i cant cant remember the title. think they were looking for a golden phoniex. cant really remember it myself but the jet they flew in was a golden phoniex. maybe it wsa called the lost city of gold or searching for the lost city of gold.

HA! That's it! :-) Mannn that was when cartoons were awesome..sighs..To the kids of today, Gummy Bears are something you bite the heads off of and chew....LOL..not that I don't join them in that..mmmm gummy bears, but the cartoon was pretty cool too. My fav. though had to be Dungeons and Dragons.

Still, can't think of any other cartoons that have a golden jet but Lost City of Gold. Still lookin though...

yeah I think they were looking for a city of gold or something.. and the pheonix thing sounds familiar too.. I do remember it coming on Nickelodeon..it had to have been between 87-89..I think I was in kindergarten when I watched it
I know it wasn't Johnny Quest or Space Ghost because I've watched those enough to be familiar with it..I just haven't figured out this one.. I downloaded some old cartoons the other day.. X-men..well not really that old, but I watched them in elementary school..so it still brings back memories

That cartoon was called City of gold. Based on the history of the Inca empaire in south america. The so called golden plane is a model of the largest flying bird in that region " the Condor"
I think that was a great cartoon.

search for 'golden condor' in google.
