What version is your PS2 console? In order for you to successfully play your PS2 backup games, you'll need an additional aftermarket modifications such as Flip Top, Slide Tool, etc.

Anyways, here's how to play or use Swap Magic 3.6 Plus discs (I'm assuming you've already got a Flip Top installed on your PS2 console).

- power up your PS2 console (and wait a little bit)
- insert Swap Magic 3.6 DVD (if it's a DVD backed up)
- let it load to the "main menu or loading menu"
- open up from Flip Top cover (from the top) and take out Swap Magic 3.6 disc
- put your PS2 backup game inside your game (from Flip Top cover)
- close the Flip Top cover and hit X or whatever it said on the menu to boot up... that's it, easy as smoking..!!

you bought a flip top right? you are not talking about
the one it came with?
Also are you using Swap Magic?
What brand and speed media are you using? +R or -R
What program did you burn it with and at what speed?
and what games are they?

Please people. It is very hard to help you out without specific
information on the problem. Just saying "my game won't work"
will not help anyone figure out the problem, there are just
too many variables. So answer the above and i am sure someone
can get it all straitened out. It may even take a few more questions
but that is just how it works when narrowing down the problem.

I bought a flip top along with the swap magic 3.6. I am using -R dvd media. I tried to burn Dark Watch at 1x speed I burned the smaller file which I think is the right one but when I used swap magic the ps2 said that it was not a valid ps2 disc.

could be the brand of media you used, or burn speed
i know that game will copy with nothing special
like i said, what brand and speed DVD?
If they are 4X then yes, set the write speed to 1X
If they are 8X then try setting it to 4X
With DVD Decrypter you will get 2 files and MDS and ISO
burn the MDS file
If they are cheap no name brand DVD's or Memorex then don't
bother trying to burn games on them as they will most likely
not work. You can always save them and do movies on them.

Hi there - getting swap magic 3.6 tommorrow and was wanting to know how easy it is to backup ps2 games. I have both a dvd rom and re-writer drives. I have Nero 6 and DVD Shrink and dvd decripter. Is it just a case of burning disc to disc using Nero or does it depend on the game itself?
