Hi there,
For explanation purposes i will refer to these as Batman Begins copy 1&2.I have Batman Begins(copy 1) movie on dvd-r.Just the movie no menu etc.I also have another copy of Batman Begins(copy 2) on another dvd-r which has the menu and chapters etc..I want to take the menu from copy 2 and add it back onto copy 1.
So effectively i want to have the official menu from copy2 but the video footage from copy1.How would i go about doing this?

Sorry if this is difficutl to understand.
Any response appreciated.
Thanks guys.

This will probably work but the menu may not work w/ the movie, but you should still have control of you special features ( which is what I assume you are trying to do ).

Read BBmayo's guide on joining 2 movies or episodic discs here:

http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/Making%20a%20episode%20DVD%20with...

Lots of illustrations and easy to follow.

Hope this helps.

I think your going about this in a really hard way. If you want the main movie with a menu and don't care about the extras and other stuff. Simply use the "Still Image" feature in DVD Shrink to replace the unwanted video stream with a "Still Image" while keeping the menu.

Or

Use VobBlanker to blank out the unwanted video streams.

I I'm reading correctly I think he's got a main movie disc and a special features disc, trying to combine onto one disc.

Who knows.

I'm sorry but I think we are both reading it wrong.

Apologies,
I knew this would be difficult to explain.

One of the discs is a direct copy from the original, done with shrink-It is just the main movie disc and has the menu etc.it is the disc with the single theatrical trailer.Of the 2disc set it is disc one.

Then i have another dvd.It is the main movie again, done with shrink ,but reauthoured ie-menus etc have been removed. It is just the main movie.

My question is-the reauthoured disc (the one without menu) how can i add back the original menu.
I understand it is probably easier for me to make a direct backup again, this is just something i kinda want to try out.

Maybe if i word it like this:
I have Batman Begins on dvd (no menu, just the movie)
How would i go about making a menu for this that will be identical to the menu on an original dvd.

Thanks and sorry for my poor wording/explanation.

uh, once you've closed the dvd session you can't write more on it, if that is what you are trying to do.
