Hi all, as expected I have a v9 PS2 which does not eject its tray when switched on. I thought it was the modchip so i wanted to remove it, but i also saw a replacement LA6508RII! i thought it was brand new though.

Ok here's the thing: Im guessing the LA6508RII inside is spoilt and i have ordered a replacement. I wish to know if the v9 Romeo mod is still required, or the LA6508RII already has it done in, since there are more parts than the original LA6508.

Hope anyone who knows this can enlighten me.
