I have been trying to find a USB hardware to convert vhs to dvd, beacuse i have lots of videos which i would love to convert to dvds. I was thinking of the adaptec videoh media center, but i wasnt impressed at all with the Amazon.com,s reviews. What do you recommend, guys?

That device is not USB and i have a laptop. Any other device. Price range up to $140

I dont know where you are situated but here in Aus there is a ST-LAB TV Tuner Box (which is USB) available from around $104 thay will do what you require.

bbmayo, do you ownit? how good it is? Im anxious to find a device, because i same lots of important material, such as the PR-USA Basketball game in 2004 olympics, and some miguel cotto and felix trinidad fights which i want to convert to dvd? is the device reliable? Thank you

Not sure about that Plextor as I have never seen it used personally, but the other one I have installed on a few computers myself and it is easy to install, and seems to do a very good job of capturing video. I couldn't tell the difference in original video and captured video, and to me thats all you can really hope for. :-)
