just bought a new light scribe external burner usb hooked up,when i try to burn a disc in x copy the start button stays grayed out, even though it read the disc and asked to insert blank, any ideas?

How old is your copy of xcopy? Have you tried DVD Decrypter or other programs with the lightscribe?

I would suggest what laddyboy said. Download DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. DVDXcopy is old news and dosent even update anymore. I dont think there even in buisness. Or look at the guide below compliments of ScubaPete and choose a guide to follow. He has diffrent guides for diffrent combinations of programs. Which you will defently get better quility with them rather then dvdX Copy.

I have to agree (and I myself used to be an avid user of 321 studios when there were still in business) There are so many things wrong with that old program now. I HEARD that a new company "picked the product up" and may have an upgrade .. But I would be weary about that when there are so many other good programs free and pay (but less expensive)

DVD Decryptor with Shrink
DvdFab w/ shrink
DVD 43 w/ shrink
Any DVD w/ Shrink or w/ CloneDVD2 etc etc
