Christy, it's really a simple process from here.First of all do you know which burning program came with your DVD burner (I am assuming you do have a DVD burner). I have never used SmartRipper, do you have Nero?

OK if you have NeroVisionExpress I can help you. Open NeroVision Express, Select Make DVD, open file where movie is stored, click ob this file and drag into Nero window. Hit next until you reach Burn, click Burn(after putting in blank DVD) and sit back and watch.....DONT multitask whilst movie is burning. Let us know how you go. HEY hold the bus, I just re read your thread and you mentioned Copy Right is this correct???

@Christy
First off welcome to AD hope you find the site usefull.
Second I wouldnt use NeroVision Express to make a copy of your DVD if you have Nero and have NeroVision express then you should have Nero Recode2 which is the Nero program you need to use. But in order for you to bebale to copy the DVD you need take the copy protection off the Movie.
You can do this by using a program called DVD Decrypter which you can download here -----> http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...
or
using AnyDVD which you can get a trial version of AnyDVD from http://www.slysoft.com
But first read below and look at the guide that shows you how to use DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode2. These guides are from ScubaPete a long time member of AD and has alot of information for you.
This link is how to use DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode2

You haven't removed the DVD from the drive before process has completed?

You have to browse with shrink to the file location so that shrink knows where to look. Does this make sense? When you decrypted, decrypter put the files on your hard drive in a folder. You have to navigate to them and then shrink.

If you followed ScubaPetes guide then you would have made a folder called All My DVD work then in that folder another named VIDEO_TS this is where your "Decrypted" files should be.

I did make the folders like he said. When i did the decryptor i saved it to the video ts file. When i go into shrink and open that file it says the file cannot be found. But decryptor says its complete so where did they go?

If you made the file: All My DVD work as your destination file in DVD Decrypter then that is where the decrypted files automatically go. Suggest you check the DESTINATION file you have selected in DVD Decrypter, if you have done it correctly then the decrypted files should be there.

Or check your C: directory which DVD Decrypter is default to rip the DVD movie to. So click on your C: drive in MY COMPUTER and see if you see a folder that is named as the title of the DVD you riped.

Christy if you have located the movie why not try using Nero.If you open NeroVisionExpress just drag movie(right click and hold) into Nero window and go from there. Its unusual because once the movie has gone through decrypter you shouldnt have any problems opening it in Shrink. Good luck , gotta go away for a few hours , will check in with you later.
