I have acoupel copied games so far GOd of war and Darkwatch GOW plays pretty smoothly with some stuttering in the moves darkwatch is just swiming with them I am soem what worried about my lens,I am usieng the swap disc V3 I want to get DSMlite Solderless Modchip I know my PS2 is a V9 sicne I built it from parts I also doubled the large heating pads it has for better heat loss but sicne I foudn out these are manegtic should I remove 1 sicne it might conduct?
Plays all my "REAL" game fine.

GOW is almsot worth 50 but not to me Darkwatch would be worth it if they put in full button maping but noo..lets not give consoles players a chance to have full controll over thier FPS >< ggrrrrrrrrrr

If the pads were already in a stock machine than i would
say you should be fine.

tried remakeing the darkwatch DVD it still hates it mmmmmmm

Take those extra pads off...like a cpu and heatsink, you dont want alot of space between the pads and the heatsink..the metal on the heat sink is what disapates the heat not doubling up on the pads, your system is probably getting alittle warm..i have a slim with a magic vkx works alot better then the famous dms chips..you just dont have all the features.but if you just want to play games the magic vkx is the best..loads much faster tehn dms's also..

I'll try removeing them next time I open it up.
I found out my lite on DVD wont write at 1X my other one dose and darkwatch is runnign alot better.

Dose the DMS4 make soem skiping stop?
I am useing Swap magic 3 ,and moives love to skip.

it only dose it on Copied games alot on darkwatch and every so offten on God of war.

Did some tweaking and adjusted the level on the drive (the lil white things or in my case 1)
No skiping if ever noticed that its overheating some the double pads might be cuseing it ..mmmmmm
I have half a mind to ount a 80/80 comp fan on it...MA AJHHAHAHAAHAHAh 0-o

it is usually the laser that stops the skipping.
But a chip can surely run stuff better than Swap Magic
and with less problems.
But good quality media and the right burning speed will
also solve that.
I use Philips 8X DVD-R burned with DVD Decrypter at 4X
and it is very,very rare that i ever have a problem.
