Trying to make a DVD boot version of HD loader

ive wasted quite a few dvds, and i dont know what the hell im going..
i just recently got a network adapter and realized i could hook a HDD up.
so i had a spare one from my xbox (seagate 160 gig barracuda, on compatability list) i set it to master, hooked it up, and...

every disc i throw in after loading swap magic DVD 2.0 just starts to load and freezes while still showing the swap magic screen.

i dont know exactly what i need to do, ive read many tutorials, and tred many different software packages, programs... dead links and non working programs...

anyways.. i just want to get it to where i can load a ps2 game.. and have it do the exploit to load up a menu of games on the hard drive, and i pick it and play it.

can anyone help me, it seems every setup requires a CD, and im using DVDs because my cd's wont read in my ps2.

V7 ps2.
HDD was formatted with NTFS

well, i have to say.. these forums have tutorials that make this 1,000 times harder than it actually is.

i think ill write a simplified tutorial.

this might be just like the rest of the others you have tried but i like this one the best help me to understand it better. only reason i havent made 1 is no swap magic or not chipped. good luck.

anyways, all i basically did was download ps2 kaylauncher, opened it with ultra ISO, made a title.db with titledbgen and swapped it for the one that came on the root of keylauncher ISO, saved and
burned, that was it. took 5 minutes.
