Hi folks, new here and was recommended by a friend.
I have Toshiba Satellite Pro with Nero, DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Laptop has a MATSHITA UJDA760 DVD/CDRW drive. I have been trying to burn dvd to DVD+R with no luck - it doesn't seem to recognise the discs. Do I need a new drive??? I'm completely baffled and have very little technical understanding.
Please Help.

Can you post your burning log? (Make sure you remove the Nero Serial number)

Have you ever updated the burners firmware. Sometimes this is necessary for the burner to recognise the media type that you are using.

Visit the 3rd link in my signature and check your firmware.

No.
not even getting as far as a burn log from Nero.
If I go into Nero INFOTOOL, under Supported Write features, only CR-R, CD-RW, and Buffer Underrun Protection are highlighted.

On Firmware Update search, cannot find any for this type of drive. Any more ideas????

Your drive is a CD+RW/DVD-ROM combo drive. Meaning that you can burn CD's but, not DVD's. You have a DVD-ROM drive, that is for "watching DVD's". You need a DVD burner/writer.
