Hi! I thank anyone in advance for any help I may or may not receive.
And I did use the search query and came up with nothing of the 200+ topics posted... IF there is a topic, I am sorry. So here goes:

I have been using DVD Shrink for a while now and it works great to back up my personal dvds. The DVDs used to be copied to my hard drive in an ISO file, a single file. Now, for some reason it creates a whole folder with numerous files. I could burn the Single ISO file using DVD Decrypter but I cannot seem to figure out how to burn the Folder version of the copied DVDs. I'm kind of new to this so please have patience.

Thanks,
BanGoO

Hi Bangoo, welcome to AD

I always rip (using DVDdecrypter) my backups in identifiable folders and then just direct DVDShrink to that folder when I shrink. Then when I go to burn I direct DVDdecrypter to that folder and it knows the file that it is supposed to burn.

Are you getting an ISO file in the folder?

Ok, here's what it sounds like to me. When you click backup and the new window pops up, make sure that under target device it says ISO image file or ISO Image file and burn with Decrypter and not Hard disc folder.

If you select hard disc folder, you end up with a VIDEO_TS folder with a bunch of VOB, IFO and BUP files in it.

You can still burn the VIDEO_TS file to disc with you favorite DVD burning software. There should be the VIDEO_TS folder with all the files mentioned above inside and an AUDIO_TS folder which should be empty. Why burn and empty folder to the disc? Well it just has to be there for the disc to be DVD Video compliant.

Hi and thank you for your response. I have now several DVDs on the "Folder" format saved on my computer. Within each of these folders, there are 3 different types of files. VOB IFO and BUP. I use Nero for burning these but now the problem is that I cannot figure how to separate these files. There is 2 different folders for DVD movie burning and one is Audio and one is Video. How do i Separate them?

Thanks,
JY

bangoo ,
All you have to do is to show Nero the Video_TS folder and it will burn the movie for you. The reason that there are 2 folders is the older DVD Players needed to read a video folder and an audio folder before it would play the movie. Video and audio were both in the Video folder and there was nothing in the audio folder
