SONY S-Video Cables VS Third Party S-Video Cables

Hi, sorry I didn't know anywher else to post this but I just need a qucik answer.

I was just wondering if there is any difference if buying a Sony S-Video Cable or a Third Party S-Video cable? I can get a Sony one for about $14 AUS ($10.60 US), and a third party for $7.00 AUS ($5.30 US). Which should I get?

Hey dude, there is alot of misinformation about cables out there. Unless you have the TV to support high end signals it wont matter much if you buy a 40.00 wire or a 4.00 wire. Like music many people dont have the ability to differentiate slight differences in colors and patterns. Your best bet is to buy the cheap wire and try to set your tv up accroding to the THX factor available on most THX DVD's. I have been doing this for a long time and unless you have a stellar television and are in the 3% of people who can tell the color and shade differences you wont notice. If you want to get some great graphics update the tv, not the wires.
