Let me start by saying that I've read most of the post on here and tried a lot of these things. Here's what I'm doing.
I use DVD Decrypter to put the DVD on my HD. I then use SHRINK DVD to try and burn it. Everything works fine until the 97-100% mark of the burning process at which point the DVD eject and the box says "Burn Process failed at 16x". Now sometimes the dvds will actually work on my pc but not in my dvd player. Also these movies are more then 4.7 GB. As per SCubaPete's advice I play around with it so the max size will be 4.3 GB. I'm using single layered Memorex DVD-R. Please help, I'm tired of wasting dvds.

ur burning at 16x? thats the problem.
lower the burn speed to 4x

Hi Dups

You are burning too fast at 16x. Burn at 4x or lower and you will get quality burns.

Set the target size in DVDShrink to 4300 that way you will not burn all the way to the edge.

Memorex media is not good media. Poor quality control and uneven dye spread. Go with Maxell, Sony, Fuji, TY's - much high quality and therefore better burns.

Try this and I think you will have better burns. Also check the link in my signature and get the guide from bbmayo for dvddecrypter and dvdshrink. Follow them step by step and you will be good to go.
