For all the newbies out there. Make sure you have this hardware etc before posting that your backups won't work.

CHUNKY PS2
----------
Swap magic + fliptop case mod or
swap magic + slidecard tool or
Modchip

SLIM PS2
----------
Swap magic + aftermaket fliptop(not original fliptop on ps2) or
swap magic + slimtools/ghost switches or
Modchip

Also make sure you have good media. Most ps2s will do ok with dvd-r format. I would recommend 8x max media from one of these brands:-

Taiyo Yuden
Ritek
Verbatim
TDK
Maxell

You could always get a small pack size to start with to see what works for you best.

for your first backup try an older game as there is less chance of need special atention certainy not gt4 or gow

In your opinion whats is better for the PS2?

for the cheapest sm and slide card (not so easy and really anoying after a while

second sm fliptop little more money still going to break warrnty easy to use not so anoying

best and most expensive chip
