Changing modes in hdadvance 3.0

I recently recived my copy hdadvance 3.0. After install my seagate 120 gb hard drive I backed up my copy of NCAA football 06.
I tried playing it and it froze a balnk screen next.
I check and found you have to change the mode to mode 3. When I press selct on the game it comes up with:
-sloe hardrive access
-disable dvd9 support
-kill HDA after launch
-date/timefix 2
-date/timefix 3
-disable network support
-disable UAB patch
-Soul calibur 2

Witch ones are mode1, mode 2, mode 3.
