I have a PAL format DVD from the UK that I would like to convert to the NTSC format. The DivxToDVD converter program was recommended to me. Will DivxToDVD do the job for me?
Well it might, but I don"t know how good it will be it it but I guess it is worth a try...
You will have to Rip the PAL DVD to your Hard Drive as One Big VOB file as Opposed to a Bunch of Small Ones Cuz DivXtoDVD doesn"t accept multiple files at once...
You can Rip the DVD as a Single Big VOB file by setting the "File Splitting" settings to "None" in "DVD Decryptor" when ripping the DVD and then Load the VOB file into DivXtoDVD and let it do it"s thing...You will loose all Chapters and Menu"s and any special features doing it this way but you would Loose them anyways .....

Thanks for the advice. I have already decided that this way of converting it is too complex. I have ripped the DVD to my hard-drive using DVD Decrypter. Now I'm using VOB Blanker to process the files from one directory to another. This worked fine for the first set (VTS_01) but it won't process VTS_02. I need to learn a bit about VOB Blanker I guess. I'll keep working on it.
