I could have swore I ran into Ricohs on one of the teon 20 packs.After finally locating one of my first backups,they were cmags. That is odd, My cyberhome tv burner loves those teons!Go figure?
Staples use to have quite a few sales on teons,but not so in the last 4 months or so.Don't pay full price for cmags.You can find the 20 packs for around$5 and the 40 packs around $8-$10 around thanksgiving,maybe even cheaper. Cmags may be ok for some quality DVD-RW drives,but more issues are posted than on the quality media.
A buddy of mine loves those staples teons.He copies on the fly for another buddy with no problem. I have no trouble burning them,but I do keep the burn speed at 4x and at a reduced backup target of 4360 mbs.Some of those stand alones that my backups go in do have trouble with the cmag media. Just don't put anything critical like your backup O/S,family videos on them. The lifespan of those cmags may not be very long. Mine's 11 months old and are still ok.
