Looks like Splinter Cell is a no go with flip-top and Boot Disc v2.0. This really blows. Anyone have luck with it yet?
As mentioned before, goes through the intro fine, let's you select a saved game or create a new one, then just when you think it's GO TIME, it craps out when reading memory. Wonder if this will become a new trend.... let's freaking hope not.
Has anyone got this game to work with flip-top??? Will it ever???

Dills and all, here's what I am using...
HP DVD 200i burner
DVD Decrypter 3.1.4.0
Memorex DVD+Rs.
I write at 1x speed in Decrypter. Every other DVD game I have tried works with this method but Splinter Cell.
Note: I have yet to try Hitman2 with this layout, it failed on me with Nero only. I find DVD Decrypter is the easiest way to make my back ups.

from what i have gathered...
swap magic is the problem with splinter cell.
I have read on newsgroups of successful images in ISO form with both swap magic and gameshark testing. Guy has played first 4-5 levels with saving and loading working fine with gameshark boot up. Swap magic results in problems stated above. I dont think i wanna buy gameshark to play one game....maybe new versions will fix this...
dont throw your dvd's away yet...the image is probably fine!!! :)

I got my ps2 flip cover and swap magic discs today. Got the cover installed and stuff. I pulled my swap magic DVD out of its sleeve and noticed something. I don't wanna sound like a noob or anything, but there isn't supposed to be a huge scrape at an arc around the outer half inch of the dvd is there? I think my disc is bad cuz it doesn't boot to the "Insert disc" screen. The CD one does, just not the DVD one.

no word on the new versions always just been rumors....if you dont wanna wait you could buy and try gameshark...
I read in the same newsgroups the same type of issues with hitman 2 which is why i didnt bother trying. Came in the same sentence as splinter cell. The only 2 games he knew that swap magic couldnt do were those 2 games...

right on, we'll I just save the disc I created, sit back and wait to see if a new version of the swap discs come out. Almost done with the game anyway (splinter cell). Plus I hear they are working on a hitman 3, wonder what challenge that will bring!

you still havent said what speeds your making the image/burning or if your doing it on the fly....
sounds to me like your not burning correctly
nero is the best
under 16X burning
not on the fly
