ok im using VSO DivxToDVD to convert my video files to video_ts. Ive been selecting automatic on the two options. Then ive been burning the folder to a DVD+R with DVD Shrink 3.2. Now when i play it in my dvd player it cuts off the edges of the movie and you dont get the whole picture. but when i put them in a widescreen tv they work fine. Any suggestions on what im doing wrong?? Thanks.

I dont think you are doing anything wrong, it may be that the movies are to be viewed in wideccreen. I have also noticed the same but it hasnt bothered me as my DVD player allows me to correct the problem so I'd say its par for the course.

I have a ZOOM function that allows me to either zoom in or zoom out

but when you activate the zoom, you should notice that the video is slightly blurred, the more zoom you use the more the outer edges are blurred.

HERES A QUOTE FROM some one who was doing widescreen and full screen which may benefitr you:

I use DVD Rebuilder and CCE basic to do what you want. RB is free and CCE costs 58.00. Before you say no way,LOL, it is also the best combo on the market today for DVD quality on backing up DVD's. I have used over 50% compression with no editng(there's no need for it) and the copy is indistinguishable from the original.

Read this forum's threads on it and you'll see what I mean. Any and everybody that has used it swears by it. Once set up it is a one click operation, hit transcode, that's it. Burn, when done.

Did i mention it will convert fullscreen to widescreen :>)

@andmer, I only have a small TV so really dont notice blurring at edges so it doesnt bother me but I do agreethat there would be some blurring on a wider screen
