I backed it up with Decrypter without any problems. Fujifilm disc burned at 4x.

Yeah what media are you using? Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Maxell, TDK, Sony, or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid crap like Memorex, Imitation, Duraband, MMORE, Dynex, etc.

I'm having the same problem. I burned the game at 4x with a 16x Memorex DVD-R
I think it's the game file though....The size is 1.6GB and i heard it was supposed to be 3.9 or something close to that(can't remember the number very well)

Ditch the Memorex. The TOC size varies depending on who you ask. It sounds like the 1.6GB iso has been rebuilt. I don't know if it was rebuilt correctly, but people who upload torrent files tend to know what they're doing. I would recommend burning at 4x on an 8x DVD-R. I burned Dragon Quest VIII at 4x on an 8x Maxell DVD-R and it seems to be fine.

hmm....i just realized that the only time i made a succesfull burn with the memorex, the game was horribly slow. In fact i was about to make a topic about it.
I'm gonna burn another game which i know is the proper image just to check if the CD's the problem for the sims 2.
I know it's not the problem however for Soul Calibur, because i also tried it on Verbatim DVD+R's and those worked fine.

Nope, it isn't the media. I tried burning shadow of the Colossus and it worked fine.

You can't make that determination after burning one game. Several times people report no problems saying "oh brand X works great." It takes several burns with different games and different media to be positive. You'd be amazed how often one troublesome game exposes crap media. Try burning SC3 on something other than Memorex, any of the brands I mentioned, then maybe it's not the media.

Well DVD+R's have compatiblity issues with PS2's and a lot DVD-ROM drives won't read them unless you booktype em. And Memorex DVD-R's flat out blow. So try burning SC3 to a quality DVD-R.

Ok, long story short, i know it's not the media. Period.
I might be the media for the sims 2, but i know for a fact that the media isn't the problem for SC3. It's the file.

No you're wrong. Renounce your worldly possesions and swear allegiance to me. I tend to agree with you here. There have been several posts about this game in the last couple days. The group that uploaded the torrent seems to have butchered a rebuild, and the end result is a horribly laggy product.

Yup. Sorry to be so blunt about it, but that was the only way to stop this conversation from going in circles. Even looking at the game file with ISO buster it didn't look right.

It's okay. Believe me I understand how annoying it can be to have someone talk down to you. That wasn't my intent. I know from PMing you that you have a pretty good idea what you're doing anyway.

Ok, i solved my problem.
The file was crap, that's all. I found that the echelon game was released, downloaded it over night, and burn it now and it works perfectly.

Yeah that happens. In fact I had a problem with the Echelon version of Skies of Arcadia. I downloaded it, patched it, and it was a horrible mish mash of a once great game.
