DVD Shrink won't open it?

Are you using File mode in DVD Decrypter? Open DVD Shrink->click the big button up top that says open files->browse to the Video_TS folder of the title you are working with.

Locoeng thanks for the feedback. When I try to open with shrink it says DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid data in file "E:PROVINCE77\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.VOB" Just to try it out I used ratDVD and burned it to a disc and it worked fine only problem, I can only watch it on comp. copecope

Why don't you just try to rip w/ shrink, instead of w/ decrypt.

I'm not sure but I think the Rat prog encodes in a different format, thats why you can only watch it on your PC. Did you Try DVD Decrypter by any chance? DVD Shrink is not as good with some encryptions and damaged discs as DVD Decrypter is. As the title is a few years old, could it have a scratch on it? The error message you got sounds like a bad sector due to a scratch.

copecope,
Welcome to the forum. It sounds like the .ifo files are not matching the.VOB files as per the error message "E:PROVINCE77\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.VOB".

It is either
(1) the VOB file is corrupt,

(2) the IFO file contains invalid data. Data in the IFO file must correspond exactly to the VOB file.

You can probably fix it by using IFOEdit or trying another DVD to see if was only that press

Dics is new with no scratches. I used decrypter and also used fab to decrypt. Is there another shrink program out there that you have used and like? DVD Shrink is the only stand alone shrink program I have. Once again thanks for your help copecope
