I have currently two PS2...
SCPH 10000 & I think a version 4 (all modded)
Now I am thinking to get a slim version...
It just sound ridiculous to have so many PS2.. (difficult to convince misses)

Anyone out there have more than 2 ps2??? what do u do with them?

i have two ps2s i have a thick and a slim line

i got the thick from a friends freind for free because it was broken and i fixed it

here are some of the advantages and disadvanages that i know of to have the thick or the slim

thick

advantages

1.hard drive inside the case
(if you have network adapter)

2.the laser is better than the slim
(i have had a very scratched dvd the
slim couldnt read it but thick could)

3.it is easyer to mod(chip)

4.it is cheaper to mod (chip)

disadvantages

1.not as portable as slim

2.not as easy use swapdisk
(unless you have fliptop)

3.the older models cant read
certain disks (rw etc)

slim

advantages

1.more portable

2.network adapter in built

3.can read more types of disks (rw etc)

disadvantages

1.dearer to mod (chip)

2.harder to mod (chip)

3.Laser not as good as thick

4.no hdd slot(have to use external)

ok if you think your bad:
I have a V5, a V7 and a Slim PSTwo with DMS4 Pro chip
Also a premodded Xbox. But i am donating the V5 to a friend.
i had a DMS4 Pro put in it for him. He does alot for me so i
figured it was a nice payback to get it modded with a chip and
pass it on. I have the slim in the living room, then the V7 and
Xbox in the bedroom. That way if the roomate wants to watch TV she can and i can still play games.

well my final aswer would be this.
If you have 2 perfectly good, working, PS2's then why get the slim?
You really don't have a need for one. I got one because i had 2 and
one stopped working. After a year or so of having the slim i got a new laser and DMS4 Pro chip in the V5, the one that didn't work,
and now is like brand new again. so that is the one i am giving to a friend. I still think that the older models are a bit better
as far as stability, lasers, and heat up issues.
If you start having problem then go looking for a new one.
Or buy a premodded Xbox instead, then you have an excuse because
it is a completely different system :)

Unfortunately, I already have a modded xobx , 2 modded PS2 as well as an panasonic Q.
Reason I want to get the slim is that I like the look, a DMS4 pro & I want to get the LCD screen together.. It is just irresistable.

The worse thing is I can't part with my SCPH 10000 ( collector's item) & Version 3 ( ability to use hard disk)

Yes, Indeed.
The first ever PS2....
Thay's why I am reluctant to part with it..
The Problem is that it doesn't have a hard disk slot so I can't really sell my version 3 either

Put all the PS2s together to make a very powerful machine that can kill.
