WinAVI Crashes!! HELP!

I got WinAVI 7.1 and when I try to convert a 6 GB VOB file to WMV it crashes before starting the conversion. How can I fix this? Will an older version of WinAVI work better? It BTW: When I tried a 3 GB VOB, it worked perfectly. Any ideas how to fix this?

Why not give santadvd a try? I used to convert huge AVI around 6.2gig to VOB file with no problems.

Thanks for the suggestion but actually I need to convert A DVD movie that I used DVD Decrypter to combine into one 6 GB VOB file for the entire movie. I also tried to use River Past Video Cleaner Pro 6.5 with the MainCOncept MPEG2 Decoder installed and it worked perfectly fine except that it for some reason always uses the wrong audio track. Like with Batman Begins which is what I'm trying to convert it always uses the French track.If I could fix that I'd use Video Cleaner Pro. Anyone else have any suggestions?
