I straight burned Tenkaichi with DVD decryptor and it wouldnt boot with Swap Magic 2.0. Any suggestions?

Yeah SM 2.0 sucks, upgrade to to SM 3.6. Other than that, burn at 4x on an 8x DVD-R with DVD Decrypter. Use decent DVD-R's like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, TDK, Sony, Maxell, or Phillips.

Yep buy SMD 3.6. It's only $20 and eliminates a lot of the headaches that come with 2.0. There isn't a single game that doesn't work with SMD 3.6 after rebuilding. DVD-9 or dual layer games will need rebuilt, and some games over 4.38GB's may need rebuilt to work with SM 3.6. That's a very small percentage of games, around 5%.

correction some games between 4.36-4.38gb need rebuilding higher than that definately need rebuilding

A number of sites. Google and see. Not all games over 4.38GB's need rebuilt. I've read reports from several people who haven't had to rebuild games over 4.38GB's. Games like NBA 2K6 or NBA live 2006. Obviously if you have a modchip, no rebuilding is necessary. DVD-9 games would need rebuilt since SMD 3.6 doesn't support dual layer games. The only way to play dual layer backups without rebuilding that I know of is a with a modchip or HD advance 3.0. Hursty an AD addict, puts the rebuild cut off around 4.37GB's, so I'm satisfied with that.

i use the hard drive in do not swap discs, but if im not mistaken couldnt he use mc exploit and download the newest swap magic program, loading from the memory card?

To answer the question about budokai tenkaichi-

Nope, nothing special for this one. Just a straight burn with alcohol 120% or DVD Decrypter should work fine. Burn at 4x with 8x or more media.

I have a modchip though, so i don't know if swap magic has any problems with it...

I just did a straight copy with Decrypter and it works fine. I use Swap Magic 3.6

I use sm 2.0 I rebuild the iso burned with DVD Decrypter @ 2x and it work fine so try doing the free stuff before you fork up another 20 bucks

As a former 2.0 user, I'd have to say go ahead and fork up the $20 to get 3.6. It took out a lot of headaches I had with other games using 2.0. I got one set from estarland.com for $25 shipped.

I got my copy working with a modchip. It may not be compatible with USB extreme, I know a lot of people have complained about compatibility issues with USB extreme. Make sure you're using USB extreme correctly:
