I have tried dvd decrypter, dvd fab decrypter, any dvd, dvd 43 and shrink is still not able to copy the movie. There is a huge section of the move that is just black. Any other suggestions?

My Guess is the movie is scratched or dirty. What speed are you burnig at. What type of DVD R media do you use?

P4 3.0 Ghz HT, XP w/SP2
NEC DVD RW ND 3520A EXTERNAL
NERO 6.6.0.16
PS2 v30001 R

After you rip the movie to your hard drive with DVDFab Decrypter only(no need for anything running in the background like AnyDVD, or DVD 43), open DVD Shrink.
After you have analyzed the movie, hit re-author.
Drag the movie to the left or double click it.
In the Re-authored DVD section click the Set start/End frames feature. It has two arrows going left and right.
Set your start frame to where the movie starts to get rid of the black frames. That will take care of the black frames stalling most standalone DVD players

you cant have AnyDVD and DVD43 installed at the same time. they arte both drivers and they conflict. AnyDVD is the better of the two so uninstall DVD43. then rip the movie with Clonedvd2 while AnyDVD is running. alwalys let AnyDVD run in the background it removes the encription asap and makes Dvd Shrinks work much easier.
after you rip the movie Shrink it and burn it

I cant get AnyDVD to remove CSS protection. Is there an extra step I am missing? DVD43 seems easier to use, the little face turns green and off you go. A lot of people seem to be partial to AnyDVD, but like I said, I cant seem to get it to remove the CSS protection. Any suggestions? Oh, and thank you everyone for helping with the Sony backup problem, I was able to get it to work just perfect!

make sure you are running the current verison of AnyDVD which would be 5.5.1.1

it WILL work if not reinstall it and delete dvd43
