Please help

I have installed mpt 1.23 / and then upgraded to 2.21 / and then live update to v3.28. I have a v188 phone with a usb connection to my pc(windows 2000 os). The phone and pc see each other but I can't get into the multimedia studio. It keeps generating an error that reads "MMCenter.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program."

any helpful advice would be appreciated
