I have a dvd the I ripped and opened in DVD Shrink. I wanted to juest get rid of the french & spanish audio which LOOKS like it will give me enough room on a DVD-R to keep everything else but when I tried it said DVD-Shrink was unable to keep menu buttons. If I wanted to continue the buttoms would be converted into video clips.

Is this an error on my part or is it just one of those things I have to accept with DVD-Shrink?

In Full Disc mode in the left pane highlight menus, on the right side in the drop down box that says automatic, make is say custom. When this is done you free up the slider bar...slide it all the way to the left. Do the same for special features and unreferenced materials. Now under audio in the right side, untick all selections except for AC3 5.1.

See if these few tweeks help you.

Fastfrank has an animated shrink tutorial.
Shrink options:

and shrink in general:

He is updating it, to make some changes, but it is great the way it is. You might give it a try. If you are going full disc back up, and not re-author mode, you can just uncheck any languages and subtitles you don't want. Also the custom slider compression method works well to add more compression on the menus and extras, and give the main movie less compression. Just like LOCOENG said.
