Ok heres the deal, I have over 200 copies all fine. Lately, my new copies, when I play then skip and blockup about half way through, They will still play for the most part but VERY jumpy. I am using DVD Shrink to take original to comp. and them DVD Decypter to burn to blank DVD-R.
Not sure on the specifics of the Burner. My Dvds are the Fugifilm 8x discs. And it is not the discs. I have used them since I started this. When I take from comp to disc using decypter, I have allready reduced it to 2x. I looked through all my settings, thay all seem fine as per the guides?? I am really confussed?!?! Could my burner be going bad??
Thanks in Advance

Fuji dash 8x has more than 1 different manufacturer. Taiyo yuden and fuji-film are the 2 manufacturers that I am aware of. Those tys should code as Ty-g02 and should be the better quality manufacturer.

You may have gotten a hold of those fuji-film,so the quality will really be magnefied in certain stand alones.

Here's the fuji dash 8x MID codes:
Fujifilm DVD-R 8x (FUJIFILM03)
Fujifilm DVD-R 8x (TYG02)

Are all your fuji backups the 8x speed,or are there some dash 4x fujis in there?

First thing,we need to see the MID codes of your fujis. Test several of the older backups and newer backups using this free handy program:

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd-r_tools/dvd_...

Tell us what those MID codes are, because they are likely to be different codes from different batches of fuji.

Play some of those backups that have issues using the same dvd-rw drive that burned them and view them.Look at the area where they act up.Also try them on other stand alone players if possible.

What I do know is that tis bundle of blanks I bought at Best buy while all the others I bought at Frys Electronics. I will check those code things whn I get home tonight. And post reply.
I have to finger out why AD won't let me post on forums though, something bout cookies, but I will reply.tommorw morning for sure.

Also decypt will tell me the MID codes right?? The box to right under manufactur I think. Oh I will have reply up by 1:00 pm central time. forgot new movies out today, so gotta run home for lunch!

Yuden000-T02 are of the plus format. The fujifilm-03 is of the dash format. 2 different formats!

Sounds like your stand alone is having problems with your dash backups, even burned slow.

Try a burn at 1x and also a test burn at 4x.I've been finding out I get more errors on the 8x speed media at a lower burn speed.

Can you try a different burn program like Nero? There's a free trial of Nero 6 at their main web site. You can then set DVD Shrink up to autoburn after the encoding with Nero, which I do on majority of my backups and that combo allows me the best playback on my stand alones and pc drives.

You're getting that player to recognize those fujifilm-03 discs,it's just your stand alone player is picking up something about those backups making it difficult to play.

How did the playback look when you used your 8325 to play it back on your pc?

I use to get that message about cookies on the bestbuy.com website. I'd set it up my browser like they suggested and still couldn't get through that site. After I switched ISP,no problem since.
