flashed my xbox 1.0 with a matrix mod with evox 2.5 on it but by mistake it was turned off and i flashed it anyway. at first the xbox was working great with the mod still off. i was able to play all games even some that wouldnt boot before. then after a week it started saying error 14 i think service xbox now. i tried turning the mod on and every other thing i can think of. it is a non solder mod chip so obviously i didnt flash it correctly. what will fix it.? i have another xbox i got for parts but it isnt a 1.0. can i solder the points i was supposed to before and fix it? can someone point me in the right direction?

Umm..matirx chip?? You were trying to flash the chip, but it was off and you flashed the TSOP? Or are you using that super old outdated matrix_evox_TSOP flash? Bad idea. Is that what you are trying to say. That means you had previously bridged the write enable points, correct?
If you think you flashed you tsop by using the chip, you didn't. you can't flash the tsop if you do not boot from it. Xray 3 chip is one of the only chips you can do that with, and you have to cut wires after boot.

Error 14 is a generic dahsboard error, not a bios error. You are confusing us (me). You say evox 2.5?? You mean slayer's auto installer ver 2.5? right? Try booting the slayer's disc with you're modchip on. And realign you crappy solderless thingy. If you want to flash the TSOP of you're other board, first determine the version at

http://www.xbox-scene.com/versions.php

Then use this guide to go about flashing your tsop.

i wanted to flash the old matrix chip which has 2.5 evox bios on it but it wouldnt let me so i changed the swithches which turned out to be to the off position and so i think i flashed the tsop by mistake. now its error 16 i believe and with the mod on and any dvd in there it still comes up as error 16 . i cant get it too boot anything. do i have any options left? i didnt bridge any points because i was trying to just flash the chip. am i dead? the bios on the chip is the very very old evox 2.5 from 2002 when i originally bought the matrix non solder chip
