Hi!
A reader is either a DVD-ROM DVD player or a DVD burner.
Sure you have one installed and not just a CD player/burner?
WTF... You cant use any HTML tags in here...

yeah. I just found the reader, it went through but now it says "Device not ready (Medium not present)" What do I do now? I am sure I have a burner. I have Nero. Now I have to figure out what a medium is.

All that says it that it FOUND 2 devices on your computer (one CDRW, and one DVDROM). Says nothing about a DVD/CD, etc inserted. Make sure the device which has the DVD in it is selected in the drop down-box (under source).
And make sure you are NOT sticking the DVD into your CDRW drive. It won't read it.

Under source it says:[1:0:0] Generic DVD-ROM (E:)
What do you mean by not in the CD-RW drive??? My computer is a laptop so... I am just lost at how to do this. I am sorry I am taking so long to teach, lol. I am just lost when it comes to technical programs.

It says you have a DVD-ROM drive. You sure that's a burner you've got there?

What I meant was it sounds like your drive is only a CD burner not a DVD burner. It lists your drive as a DVD-ROM not a DVD-R/W.

Oh the drive ok, yeah it's a burner. It's a pioneer DVD burner. I bought it from Best buy like a week ago and I even had a salesperson help me so I know I have one. Lol, sorry I am being such a bother, I just don't understand what could be causing the problem. Maybe it just doesn't want to work with the pioneer burner. Should I try a different one? Like a Sony or a panasonic?

Do you know how it's installed? Internal/USB/Firewire connection?
Can you see the burner in Windows or another program?
