Did you ever switch cases? Like put your 1.6 mobo into an older 1.1-1.5 case??

Also did you get the right version PSU? You might have blown a cap or something too. Verify you indeed got a 1.6 psu. Then go over your board looking for black marks, or places where solder has melted. Check all the caps too. Make sure nothing is grounding out anywhere. The on off shit is called fragging btw.

Ya there is, did you read my post or just get impatient and post again?

There are 100 different things that cause fragging, which is why I asked for more info, if you can't see that, then go play your broken xbox. Put some effort into this huh?

Did you follow that link I left for you and check to see if that collector is screwed. That is a common problem with 1.6's.

Other than that it sounds like when you put stuff back in, it wasn't in right or something grounded out. Was the PSU fuse popped?

Could be a power supply problem.....Believe it or not, but a 1.6 motherboard will frag if a 1.5 power supply is used....

To test the collector, use a multimeter and set to DC volts, it should be 3.25 volts approximately. Any less than 3v and it is faulty Did you verify that your psu was a 1.6 psu yet, like I mentioned in my first post? Do that first. You might have bought the wrong one. If you did, you need a new one. I have a 1.6 psu if you need one, lemme know. be about 20 shipped in US.

I am experiencing the same problem when I tried to solder my mod chip to the bottom d0 point. It used to be soldered to the top 1.

@abuzar: You don't know what you are talking about, so don't post in here. Just because both are fragging, doesn't' mean you are experiencing anywhere NEAR the same problem.
