still on a mission to convert my region 4 dvd to a readable region 1 for my dvd player...was messing with dvd decrypter and it would only let me regionally patch .ifo files but it can only burn .iso files in its write mode (?) i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get my hands on an ifo to iso converter...also was wondering if anyone has had region/burning problems like this before...it seems dvd decrypter comes the closest to getting it done so i still have faith...help me please i have been stumped for 2 days now!

Try use DVD Fab Decrypter for ripping instead (make sure to set it to remove region code):

Probably meaning it can't read the dvd right. But did you use DVD Fab Decrypter or Express?

i used dvdfab express, and changed the setup in it to rip a region 4 dvd to a region 1 file

Try it again with the latest version of DVD Fab Decrypter. If still doesn't work, then try AnyDVD.

Good luck!

hey scf and others reading this post. im still having trouble burning this dvd to a region 1 or a region free back up. ive gone through many many programs and even went as far as converting the dvd to AVI files and burning with Nero but then i lost the subtitles. subtitles are a pain in the ass to manually attach. anyway, i posted a similiar question for jaguar in another thread, but im getting desperate here. AnyDVD lets me play the dvd and even rip it...but when ever i copy it to a DVD5 blank, it just refuses to play on my standalone. i can backup region 1's with no problem and play them in a standalone,so does anyone have any method they have successflly used or can give me any advice at all, its appreciated

I'm having a similar problem. I have a video IFO on my hard drive. I used file2iso and decrypter to burn it to a dvd and it won't play on any standalone I have. The IFO turned out to be region 2 so now I have a region 2 DVD. Is there any way to change it from region 2 to 1 during any course of the process? (it wasn't released in north america so there isn't a region 1 version available)
