PS2 playing burnt disc? Help?

I have a flip top PS2 that i got from a friend. My question is i burnt Batman to a DVD+RW and the PS2 will play it just fine so if it will play that does that mean it will play backups of my game that I put on DVD+R,DVD-R,DVD+RW Thanks for the help If it won't play them then where is the best place to get the magic swap disc Thanks

Just a flip top will not load back ups. You have to use Swap Magic,
or the PS2 has a mod chip in it.
Either a good mod chip or Swap Magic should read both
+R and -R, i like -R myself. Most PS2's have trouble with RW discs
but if it has a chip then it would play those too.
Ask your friend what modifications it has.
Because i am confused. With a mod chip you don't need
a flip top, and with no mod chip you would need the flip top
and Swap Magic together?
Unless you are talking about a slim PSTwo which has a stock
flip top, then it has to be a chip if it plays back ups right
now without Swap Magic.

I have the slim ps2. What i was wondering was I burnt a dvd (batman) on a DVD+RW and it played it no prob. So will it play backups of games? Or will i need a mod chip or swap magic. Thanks for the help.

Yes, the slimline PS2 has the function of playing copied films, but you need a modchip to play the backup games, or swap magic. (A modchip and swap magic bypasses the macrovision protection system **I Think Thats What It Is**
