PI Failure spike. File plays now, but long term?

So there's this spike in the middle of an otherwise good burn.

The .avi that I think is occupying that space on the DVD plays fine. How about long term? Is that spot on the disc likely to become unreadable?

Not likely. Data on a DVD is stable and there is nothing there that is going to degrade faster than any of the other data on the disc.
