Looks like you are another victim of crappy CMC MAG media. Try something else. Your burner does not like it.

Your using cheap crappy media. Switch to a better more reliable brand.

"IOMEGA DVDRW4216IND-A 1.20 "
Update your firmware. You are 2 versions behind. Go here and download "1.22" - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1623

Make sure you have the latest firmware for your burner. That will ensure more media compatibility.

Installing your firmware:

1. Don't run any other programs at the same time
2. Don't have any disc in your burner at the same time
3. Restart your PC after you have flashed it.

hazzyeyed,
Welcome and below are your error codes

1. E 20:14:28 Failed to Reserve Track! - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format

2. 20:14:08 Destination Device: [0:0:0] IOMEGA DVDRW4216IND-A 1.20 (F:) (ATA)

You need to update the firmware Version up to 1.22: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=49

3. I 20:14:08 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: CMC MAG. AE1)

Dump the CMC and try quality Blank DVD's like Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Ritek or Maxell

Did a little research on that burner and I think it is a rebadged NEC 1300. If it is then it likes Riteks as that is a burner I had 2+ years ago
