There is a 25 pack of Imation DVD-R's 8x(I believe),made in India at Target. Does anybody know what company makes them and if they are they any good? Afterdawn members please reply with your media expertise. by the way, I recently found out that Staples DVDs are made by Fujifilm and Office Depot DVDs are made by Ritek which both are 2nd class media. They are really cheap so if anybody is looking for a good deal on dvdrs head down to your nearest Staples or Office Depot. Thanks to all that reply
i haven't tried any "made in india" media as of yet in the Imation brand and i NEVER will, these could be a variety of manufacturers~ :)
Imation DVD-R 4.7GB CMC MAG. AE1 8x (CMC MAG...u know what u should do...AVOID)
Imation DVD-R 4.7GB FUJIFILM03.. 8x (don't like fujifilms' own media PERSONALLY, but you might have better luck with them)
Imation DVD-R 4.7GB ProdiscS04 8x (don't like Prodisc either..but, just a personal opinion, not very good)
all 3 of those possible media ID codes are not very good, i would just avoid them...heck, there might be a possible 4th media ID coding since you state they are from India...might be a MBIxxxxxx coded one...Moser Baer India...who knows?

- most of that page (my long reply on that page i mean) is mainly about Memorex but the same opinions apply to Imation. in fact Imation is mentioned in that reply too
