I been using winavi to convert to dvd and then shrink dvd to get the file to burn on dvds but my problem is the slow frames rates its like watching a movies in super slow motion the sound is correct with the talking but movements and just freaky how can I fix this problem with dvd shrink cutting more frames out. Is there a easy to use software that will just burn the files after winavi converts the avis?

Try use VSO (free version) for encoding to see if you have better luck:

Whats another program I can use to burn the out put files other then shrink dvd, I have Nero but it doesn't pick up the files to burn on dvd, I think shrink dvd is cutting down frame rates

Well, Shrink really doesn't burn. So if you have Nero, you can use it directly for burning. Try use Nero Recode.

Do you have this after the encoding or after the final burning?

OK I have done 2 movies now one with winavi and other with VSO DivXtoDVD winavi makes the movies have the slow frame rate but the sound is right may be reason for the slow frames, vos DivXtoDVD the moive plays a good frame rate but sound is behind, So it is happening when I convert the AVI files to dvd so I guess it is in the encoding not sure how to test the output files before I burn them

You can test the results by playing the movie from the harddisk after conversion but before the final burning. Usually if the conversion goes alright, the final burning should also be fine.

The sync. problem is really a tricky one. There are of course more sophisticated methods to tackle it. But personally I would prefer trying out different converting programs first to see if the problem can be solved without using the more time consuming methods. This usually works.

Im open to any suggestion on converting programs? I like the DivXtoDVD, is there a setting to work with or maybe burning the movie at a slower burn speed, could that be a issue?
