I've done some searching but can't find anything that covers the prob I've encountered.

I tried to patch PES5 with the image patcher, but it gives me the message

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Image File 'C:\drvrtmp\proevolutionsoccer5pal.iso' (1 part, 2124Mb, 2048 bytes/sector).
The following files have been located for possible patching:-
IOPRP300.IMG;1,

'IOPRP300.IMG;1' is being scanned... No match found.
ERROR: The Image File is not DN*S enabled or uses an unsupported version!

Should I use ID insertor instead? Would that work? Just don't want to waste time doing anything that won't work.

After getting that message I thought maybe it doesn't need to be patched, but at the main menu I can't highlight 'network' and access online play.

Edit: OK I just tried using the disc id insertor. I extracted the only .img file it had and tried to open it with the disc insertor, and it gives me this message: 'This is not a correct DNAS IOPRP file!'

Is it possible that a back-up of this game won't work online no matter what you do like Socom?

You using a downloaded image? I know that one of the earlier releases of PES online was a beta and had no online support. That might be your problem

I am indeed. I'll try a different torrent.

Damn, took ages to download too.

Thanks mate, this sheds some light on the problem.

Edit: OK, there are no full working versions of this game on the web. I checked all the posts for all the PES5 torrents at torrentspy.com and no one has been able to play online.
