about 6 months ago i got my PS2 chipped. the person who did my games for me is leaving my work, so its gonna be hard gettin games. i need to subscribe to a site which you can download games on but it can take english payments. also when i download games i need to be able to copy them to dvd disks and play them on my PS2,i downloaded alcohol 120 wat other programmes will i need? And wat do i do to burn a game to a dvd disk?
thanks i'd really appreciate anyone giving me help.

Torrents? i downloaded a torrent but it said wat programme do u want to open it with. and i dont really know wat a torrent is? wat do i open the torrent with? Do these torrents work if i burn them to a dvd and play them on a PS2?

Jparkes, you need a torrent manager, such as bitcomet, or abc, these are also free, you can get them from the cnet downloads site, then you open the torrent in there, and you need a DVD-Writer or DVD-ReWriter to burn the games to dvd's, hope you know that.

Get BitTornado,I think its simple for newbies.(so are the others but I think this is the most) AND NEVER PAY FOR PS2 GAMES.PERIOD!!! And coz you got a modchip,you just have to use DVD Decrypter.
btw,isnt this illegal to discuss?

do a little research on otrrents. people should net even be helping you. Since it is illegal to download games that you don't own.
Sure i know a lot of people do it, but you will need to read up and learn what to do. It is just not as simple as downloading and burning them.

its not illegal download games.
its legal have a backup of games,music and videos..
as long as you have the original too.
because,they can easily get scratched or get broken.
so be sure you have the original before downloading.
if someone does anything illegal,its the companys that makes games,music and videos... all the time they work on making a
protection so we cant copy/backup.
as we are allowed too.
they are the ones thats are doing something they shouldn`t.

bgpunkt, it is illegal downloading games, if you have the game y download it just copy it. But if it wasnt illegal downloading games, then they wouldnt have copy protections and there would be no such thing as buying them.

well,a game can easily get scratched or something..like if u have small kids around...
its legal taking backup,and if you game is broken,alternative is to
download one..
theres a law that says thats its legal having backups.
so,if the companys makes proctections..they stop us from having one
so whos wrong here...
the `law`can be used in boths ways.

Right, the way you said it now makes alot more sense, i understand what you are trying yo say, but you didnt mention a damaged disk before, but downloading is still illegal which ever way you put it, if your disk is damaged, if you contact the company for example ea games, and tell em about the damaged cd, they will say we cant do anything buy a replacement, they are not going to say download it of the internet are they?

theres a difference from downloading games,just to download them and play without having the original at home.
if u have the original at home,and its broken,off cause you can download it.
as long as you have the original to show fore.
but i know the most people just download,so they wont have to pay for them..
and anyways,the ones that makes games,make more money than hollywood.
the games cost too much as they do! its terrifying!

OK, there was no point of starting this conversation on LAW and stuff, the main point was to tell JParkes it is against forum rules to talk about piracy, he has clearly stated that he wants to download games, not download games he already has for backup purposes, QUOTE from JParkes.

no,they wont say that.
so,its better you make a backup immediatly you bought the game.
;)
but still,its legal having a backup...
i guess there will be a site in the future,where we all can download
games directly fom them...(gamemakers)
but we`ll have to show them that we are in possesion of a original one.. for backups

Yes, i understand, everyone should backup there games immediately, i have no objection to that.
People only think about backing up when its too late.
