I am having a problem copying batman begins.I first use dvd shrink which works grand,then i use dvd decrypter to copy the dvd to my hardrive.However when I attempt to copy from hardrive to dvd dvd decrypter does not register my dvd.It cant be the blank dvd because I have used 30 dvds alraedy.Any ideas.Thanks in advance

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Take a gander at the guide in my signature block regardig DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink by bbmayo. It is a detailed step by step process that I have found works very well.

If you used shrink first, that should have put the files on the harddrive as shrink is a ripper as well as a compresser. Why use decrypter to rip to HD again? Just use decrypter to burn the ISO image.

This statement is confusing. Is decrypter not recognizing the Blank DVD or the DVD RW drive? I think that you are talking about the blank DVD, so I would think that you need to check and see if there is a firmware update for your drive. Use the last link in my signature block to do this.

What kind of media are us using? This it very important, you must use quality media.

Download DVDidentifier from the software tab. Insert the media into the drive and see who makes it and what the media code is and post it back here.

I successfully copied batman using a DVD+RW.However my dvd drive still isnt recognising DVD-R discs even though I have been using them for the last few months.any ideas.Thanx

Your DVD drive may require a firmware update. If you open up DVDdecrypter it will tell you the model of your drive and the firmware version.

Write that down and then visit the last link in my signature block. You can check the firmware version there and get an update if available. If there is one, download it to your desktop. Double click on it and it should update your drive. You will then be able to read newer media types.

I tried to update the firmware but there was none available.It will recognide DVD+RW alrite but nothing else even though it was recognising other media a few weeks ago
