K i just burned 2 games (The Sims 2 and The Warriors) and neither of them are working on my PS2. The console reads them fine (chipped) but once it gets past the "Playstation 2" screen it starts to sorta flash and you can see the beginning screenshots but the picture wont stay solid. Is this a problem with the media (maxell DVD+r), with the speed im burning (2.4x) or what else would cause this problem? Ive never copied any of my games before so im unsure what i need to do.

PS - these are games that I d/l off a torrent site.

I would definitely get different disks. The Maxell's haven't been very kind to me in the past and most PS2s like DVD-R instead of +Rs. Pick up a pack of Verbatim or Sony -R disks and try to burn at 4X instead of 2.4.

You also mentioned The Warriors. Search on this forum for that game, I think there might have been some issues with a direct burn. You may have to rebuild the ISO... but not sure.

As far as the screen flickering... are you sure its a game thats for your region? Like NTSC or PAL.

What version is your PS2 console? What application/program did you burned your games with? What kind of modifications do you have on your PS2?

yeah im guessing its either the burner or the dvd's cause ive tried 2 different programs and 2 different games and they both do the exact same thing. My burner wont read -R's so i have to use the +R's:(. Ill look around about The Warriors but also The Sims 2 does the same thing leading me to believe its a media or burner problem. Im pretty sure the games are NTSC cause i made sure to download the games that only say NTSC or USA.

alkohol - I dunno what version it is but its about a year old i think. I used DVD Decrypter and Alcohol 120% with no difference. I only have a modchip on the PS2, cant remember what kind etc but i got it done last year and it plays other copied games perfectly fine (ie. NFS2 etc).

I have like 5 or 6 files/games and 2 of them ive tried to burn produced the same results, ill try 1 more and see if anything changes but i figure if all of them do it that its most likely the dvd's or something.

k turns out that the games i tried to burn were PAL so that was the problem. the NTSC ones i just burned work but theres a few problems, one the controller doesnt work and the other (tony hawk) has the perspective coming from the front so your facing the skaters face which is impossible to play with.

ne ideas?
